MK-677 (Ibutamoren)
MK-677, also known as Ibutamoren, is an orally active growth hormone secretagogue. Unlike peptides, it can be taken orally and has a long half-life, providing 24-hour GH elevation.
Mechanism of Action
Acts as a potent, selective agonist of the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). Increases GH and IGF-1 levels without affecting cortisol. Mimics ghrelin's GH-releasing effects.

Oral administration (capsule or liquid). Can be taken with or without food. Long half-life allows once-daily dosing.
Considerations for Men & Women
Women: Oral GH secretagogue with 24-hour half-life. Significant appetite increase and water retention may be more bothersome for some women. May affect insulin sensitivity — monitor blood glucose. Avoid during pregnancy.
Men: Same appetite and water retention effects. Long-term use may affect fasting glucose. Often used for sleep quality improvement and GH elevation. No sex-specific dose adjustments, but starting at the lower end is advisable for both sexes.
Individual responses vary. These notes reflect general trends from research literature and are not medical advice.
